STORY
Former breaststroke Japanese record holder Hisashi Fuwa Osamu has created a performance show using swimming techniques in a pool.
In the show, he plays the role of a clown named "O-chan" and has always played the role of a laughing stock.
Led by O-chan, TRITONES has performed at over 1,000 pools over the past 26 years, conveying the charm of swimming to many people.
O-chan, the "water guide", will retire from performing in 2024.
The camera follows them for the last 10 months until their retirement,
unraveling the history of TRITONES from its beginnings to the present,
and wondering where they're headed in the future...
Through interviews with various people,
what is TRITONES?
who is Hisashi Fuwa?
what is entertainment?
and what is sports?
In addition to TRITONES shows all over the country,
they also filmed on location in Guatemala, where
Fuwa taught swimming as a member of the Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers,
and where TRITONES was born.
